The party I missed last Friday...

YAY!!! finally got to watch S.W.A.T. and yep, add this to my 'must-see' list of the summer because hottie colin farrell was definitely my eye-candy throughout the movie (and not to mention ll cool j too!). 

tonight was one of those nights that fully supports the idea of spontaneity...i swear, anything that is fully planned is always altered when it comes to a group like ruthie, cathi, and myself (sharzi...threw it in so that it completes the names of ie/i...hehe).  it only took few minutes of my break to plan and it went smoothly; despite missing few minutes of previews.  i wasn't gonna conclude the last week of summer without doing something...for the 21 and over crowd, tonight's ocean's...dunno about the 18-year olds though...and staying home for me is well...sorta boring; therefore i decide to make my own plans and gave cathi (whom i had discussed to see this particular movie with prior to today) a call during my break at starbuck's.  we chit-chatted a lil bit and boom! a plan was started.  right after that call i gave ruthie a ring and she agreed to come also... i didn't linger at starbuck's as i usually do today and rushed right home to get ready.  went to do all the pick-ups and got to the movie just in time for 2 previews before the movie started.  i will have to say that i will not mind seeing this movie once again.  after the movies i got a little craving for breakfast (since i didn't have a complete dinner this evening), so ruthie suggested like-like.  had a wonderful omelette to suffice my craving, then did all the drop-offs and came home to do this. 

i dunno what's going on but i am always bumping into my starbuck's coworker everywhere i go...first ala's, then like-like....small world. 

i did my hair today...went back to one of my first do's...layered front, even back...like rachel from friend's sorta.  also coated it red (for now)...needed to get out the brown from last time so just did a decent color, but the color i actually wanted would've taken a bit longer (had to rush to work at 2 p.m.), so i opted for this sorta-bright red/burgundy.  think i'll be back in a few weeks to finish off the coloring and maybe even straightening...gee, i'll be at that salon forevers that day... must say that woman do have to do a lot of upkeeping but for what...the public, their spouse, self...guys can just run right into super cuts/fantastic sam's and sit in the chair for maybe 25-40 minutes and walk out a pretty satisfied customer spending no more than $15 (with tip).  woman have to spend a little bit or some a whole lot more to reach that 'pretty satisfied' stage...

hmm...later today (since it's midnight now) mr. jay will be arriving.  dude hasn't called or anything so i dunno how he plans to go to his house if i have his keys...we've got a nice eventful weekend planned out for this visit of his, hope it all goes well.  my mind is jumping all around so my thoughts are all scrambled together and makes this entry a little wishy-washy...hehe.  friday is a little blurry, but sat/sun is crystal clear.  when we do pick the dude up from the airport, the plan is to take him home then watch what happens thereafter...small surprise...hehe.  most of us will also be dropping by a bbq at jeff's (fall 2k2 dad) friday night.

i'm still not looking forward to school next monday...but guess it was coming sooner or later....

will have to end this entry short because don't wanna be like the last time and plan out the weekend and have it fall through...so until sunday...

been a pretty eventful couple days since last entry...

stopped by work monday to finish up some stuff then dropped in to the 'hangout' to begin 'girls night in'.  must admit we throw a pretty good last-minute planned event.  had some alcoholic beverages (not that i had consumed any), deck of cards for entertainment, pizza was main entree, 3 chick-flicks (how to lose a guy in 10 days, lizzie mcguire movie, what a girl wants)...that evening went by faster than expected...guess when u have fun, time flies. 

ruthie and miranda swam a little while waiting for jackie to arrive, i was taking a little nap.  when all arrived , we played a nice game of rich (wo)man, poor (wo)man...congrats to big winner ruthie!  later the game changed to KEMPS...and yay, team jackie and shar took that win 7-3!!!

some part of that night, we managed to sneak in a photo opp at jungle fun...which turned out pretty nice. 

after picking up snacks and pizza, we got back and i had put together a small plate for my bf  and dropped it off (which he thanks me the next day for the delicious meal  )

though we watched movies back-to-back, miranda decided to end her night short by falling asleep at the start of the movie 'what a girl wants'  lucky her though, she was able to enjoy the comfort of a bed that night (not that i was totally complaining about my little setup on the living room floor...i like my blankets). 

to conclude 'girls night in', we woke up tuesday morning...watched a little tv, discovered some plumbing difficulties again and requested for assistance from my bf (neighbor), after 'i got cute' (from movie 'what a girl wants').  i later had a refreshing lunch with my bf and joined him for a trip to borders to get some books for his tutoring session.  this week looked pretty busy for the two of us, so we decided to have lunch together few days this week. 

sorta rushed back to pick/drop off judy home before going to work a 3-8 p.m. shift at starbuck's.  work went all right...and here i am after work, writing a journal entry!!!  tomorrow looks like a productive one since in a couple of days mr.jay will be arriving and we will be taking him around the island! 

...don't really feel the school mode yet....

quick weekend recap from friday...

so i met up with my bf and we went to eat at the market city catch of the day sushi (much better than the one near convention center i must say) then dropped by the blockbuster next door to rent 'barber shop'.  we didn't get to see it yet though...heard it's pretty funny.  other than dinner and a movie, the night was pretty lax to prepare us for the day(s) forthcoming.

work on saturday...what can i say...was one of my favorite days!  many may not find this to be too exciting, but for those who do have an idea....the espresso machine at kahala starbucks was broken (yay!)  NO espresso drinks, NO hot drinks, pretty much NO drinks except for Frappaccinos, Iced Coffee, Iced Tea and Coffee of the Day.  Another lax afternoon there....

the night however was a lineup....coworker Lisa was sorta having a birthday dinner at Bucca's, kelsey was celebrating a joint 21st bday with Yubin at home, and also at stroke of midnight sunday was jdope's 24th bday.  when considering traveling...ward then mililani and back to aloha towers...hmm...sounds pretty hectic...probably why i didn't make it to kelsey's because the dinner ran longer than expected, but was sure delicious!!!  so delicious, i had to pee pretty badly and even after going right before leaving the restaurant, i had to go again not long afterwards so...i went to pay a little visit to the 'hangout' to answer nature's calling.  while there, lingered until cara, jackie, and piche were headed out to waterfront. 

got to waterfront pretty late...1 a.m. or so...that place was PACKED...saw hmm...few familiar faces once again...mr. yaffie with the shermanator and celia; janet z. and laura h.; most of my bf's friends (minus my bf who was home...); izumi and his friends; melody and her friends.  stayed until maybe 3:30 and went straight home to catch a few zzz's...(few is really a few...2 hours). 

surprisingly got to work 20 minutes early...enjoyed a lite breakfast and worked the 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. shift!  right after work, got home and took a short nap, woke up to a lite dinner and ran a short errand...which concludes to this journal entry being typed up...

gee...pretty detailed and long for a 2 day report...hehe
